Cameron Park Lake Wildlife

Our lake supports many forms of life including migratory birds. Feeding ducks and geese disrupts their normal digestion that can lead to disease and dependence.

Dogs are not welcome...

Some dog owners visit from out of our community disregarding the signs and some carelessly go along without cleaning up after their "business." Other dogs have been observed running loose off leash chasing ducks and geese permitted by irresponsible owners.

Visit parks where dogs are allowed...

Check with the CSD office for directions to other parks where dogs are welcome.

For the health and safety for all creatures great and small...

Joggers, toddlers, elders and disabled individuals are subject to unnecessary threats and injury as well as the natural inhabitants of the lake. Other parks are available.

SAFETY ORDINANCE At THE LAKE

In order to avoid enforcement, PARK AT THE ENTRANCE... Do not ride bikes or scooters on around the park, the lake trail or grounds. Secure bikes and scooters in rack at park entrance.

ATTENTION ANGLERS

For best results catching fish and avoiding time wasted on snags and tangles, use wacky hooks and rigs with wire guard. Discard line and other unusable tackle in these receptacles pictured above. Fishing clinics through the Cameron Park CSD are planned so check to see when they will be scheduled...
